My Impact on the environment

I come from a place where people take life for granted. A place where success is something that people do not tend to achieve. Were I come from, the only way to survive is to hustle or steal. Kids at the age of 13 are starting to drop out of junior high. But this isn’t me. I’m the person trying to make it out of this place. I’m the person striving for success and trying to be something in life. Everyday I get up in the morning and get ready for school, and when I walk out the door to the bus stop, I can see all the children, and teenagers looking at me. At first they thought that it was a joke that I was going to school, being the only idiot pass 18 to be in college. They thought that I was a fool for trying to make it out of here. Some even envy me because they thought that I was better than them. But as time grew by, they started to see something different. They started to see that I wasn’t born so that I can grow up and waist time. As to came alone people started to respect me and what I was doing. They all showed me the respect that I am a college student and that I want to get out of this place. And as time grew by, people wanted to go back to school as well. Because of my leadership, 6 of my friends decided to go back to high school and get their diploma. And others want to apply for the same college I go to… That is the impact I made on my environment..

Cool! Education works best when people decide they want to do it and are willing to accept what it is about. It's amazing how many students think teachers are trying to scam them or something. LOL.

Oh, and be sure you also actually write about the physical environment. ;)

Thats true alot of people take things for granted, especialy education. I admire the fact that it took ur determination and focus to go to college, brushing off the haters. Remember these words from the infamous Rakim-"it ain't where your from its where ya at".....The ball is in your court lets see wht you do with it.
